Q: How many times in the last 20 years has the U.S.* been the #1 performing stock market in the world?
A: Never.**
Despite the longest bull run in U.S. history, the US share of the world’s stock market has shrunk in the last 20 years.*** That means there are opportunities in overseas stock markets that you owe it to yourself to learn more about. Many investors are turning to international investing to round out their portfolios and tap into the performance potential that may be available through foreign markets.
Certainly, international/global investments may not be appropriate for all investors due to certain risks inherent in investing in foreign securities—such as possible currency fluctuation, political and/or economic instability, and differences in accounting standards.
