I recently had an experience with a very good friend and client who had forgotten that we handle life insurance. When my friend called me for advice I found out he was about to buy a term life insurance policy. He discovered I was able to save him about 50% on his premium.
So this month with our quarterly newsletter I've decided rather than do an outline format, I'm going to take the liberty to do a little commercial and direct your attention to the little box on page 4.
Mutual Funds---as an independent planner I have access to most of the mutual fund families of both load and no load, on a fee and or commission basis.
Stock and Bond Investing---through
our clearing firm Pershing, a division of Donaldson,
Private Portfolio Management---we have access to 30 or 40 private institutional managers with varying investment styles and investment objectives for accounts of $100,000 or more
Tax-Deferred Annuities---we have access to qualified and non-qualified, fixed or variable with most of the major life insurance companies.
Term & Universal Life Insurance---we have access to most of the major life insurance companies for traditional term, universal or variable life.
Insured Certificates of Deposit---these are FDIC insured.
Unit Investment Trusts---have access to original issue or UIT's traded in the secondary market
Long-term care coverage---is becoming a major concern as the population ages
Disability Income Insurance---probably the least purchased but the most needed of all life or health insurance coverage.
